Will the animations work in Camtasia?

    Thanks!!

    • krjones says:

Yep, check out one of our latest blogs about using Camtasia as screen capture software with PowerPoint. I have personally created a video using all our content into a Camtasia project, including a template, a video background with clip art on top of it, and then added an audio background. It is under our Political Theme Clip Art blog, posted yesterday I believe.

This is very cool. I love the PresenterMedia content and I also purchased all of the Articulate products including Storyline. Thanks for walking through this. Your PPT templates are wonderful.

      Amy:

I’m so glad you love our content, and Storyline really is a strong program for e-Learning environments, or even just really interactive classroom environments as well. Our team works very hard on our templates and I’m glad they work well for you.

    Hello,

The Articulate line of products is great for eLearning. Matched with the Presenter Media line, it’s perfect for what we do.

The only downfall I am trying to overcome is using animated GIFs and converting them to Flash. I am no Flash expert so I have to hire it out. It would be great if Presenter Media could produce the SWF files with a transparent backround…that would solve my problem!

    Cheers,

    Dave

Agree about the issue with transparent backgrounds on SWF’s. Is there any technical reason why these cannot be provided?

    • krjones says:

Our content is written initially as being compatible for Microsoft PowerPoint (which is not a fan of transparent Flash files), thus does not have a transparent background. As the same items are available also as a GIF or MOV animation, this circumvents the problem of a transparent background in PowerPoint. Articulate Storyline is able to insert our GIF animations as well, and they will have the transparent backgrounds (Notice on the demo with the “super hero” and “slingshot” figures, these are both GIFs inserted into the Storyline project). This is applicable only to Storyline however, as Studio ’09 does not support GIF animations as well as it supports Flash animations. You can use an HTML editor (if you’re publishing to the web) to give the SWF a transparent background, Adobe has a decent write up about it here.

    Hi,

right now I am creating E-Learnings with storyline and use presentermedia pictures for that.

    This tutorial ist great!!

Could you please tell me, where do I get this chalksquare.pgn from? I didn’t found it in your files.

    THANKS

    • Kara Jones says:

We made the square by creating a semi transparent square using PowerPoint shapes, then used “Copy”>”Paste Special”>”Paste as PNG”. At this point it can have the chalk effect applied to it and will be able to be used as an overlay.

Hi, I spent much of today working on a presenter media powerpoint template only to find it had lost much of the functionality when I imported it it into Storyline. The template was Tablet Tool Kit. Any suggestions?
