We often get questions about using our animated templates in various software. One of the most popular questions has been do your templates work in Camtasia? Camtasia is a screen recording and video editing software. We’re happy to report that PresenterMedia works great in Camtasia.
PresenterMedia’s animated PowerPoint templates work great with Mac PowerPoint 2008 and 2010, and they will also work with Apple’s Keynote software. In fact some people claim that the templates actually look even better when played from a Mac computer.
If you plan to use Mac PowerPoint 2008 to play our animated templates, make sure you first Check for Updates in PowerPoint:
Microsoft has released several updates to Mac PowerPoint 2008 and some of them are essential for the animated features to operate properly.
It’s easy to check if to see if you are currently running the most up to date version of your software, simply go to the Help Tab in PowerPoint, and click “Check for Updates”. Install any of the updates you are missing.

We recently had a great request from one of our subscribers about creating custom crossword like diagrams in PowerPoint. It’s pretty easy to do a straight 2D perspective, but what about adding in some neat 3D perspective to give an eye catching look to the slide diagrams.
This template is build strictly with PowerPoint shapes so you can easily change the color and add your own text to the blocks. Simply start with one of the arrays of blocks and add in your words, then delete all the extra blocks you do not need. The end result is a clean and unique illustration for your next presentation.

We’ve been receiving several suggestions and requests for items to build a corporate time line or a company history. Frankly I am kind of embarrassed that we didn’t have anything like that on PresenterMedia. But I and my designer partners decided that today was the day to rectify the problem. We are happy to introduce our Timeline Tool Kit template for PowerPoint.
A slide from our new Time Line PowerPoint Template
The template has several different layouts to choose from and it also contains all the individual elements that were used to create the time lines. You can easily take the pieces and customize a slide to your own needs.

These files will work with all versions of PowerPoint 2003, 2007, 2010 on the PC; and 2004, 2008 and 2011 on the Mac. Simply open the presentation and change the pictures and add your own details. You can also copy and paste these slides into your existing presentations.

We have several other ideas for more time lines in the future. I’m certain there will be more of these tool kits in the future. This template, as well as all of our templates for PowerPoint, can be downloaded with a subscription to PresenterMedia.
Be sure to let us know if there is a specific type of time line you would like to see included in our next tool kit.
