Microsoft Announces Skydrive for Android

For the past two months, Microsoft’s Skydrive App has been burning through the iTunes store, allowing iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users to access their cloud from convenient apps, while Android users had to look in from the outside, developing apps to allow them to “somewhat” access their Skydrive, but not nearly as robust as Microsoft’s own app. ┬áThe alternative option is to use a browser and go to , login, and then select files.

The day of iDevices only having Skydrive are coming to and end however, with Microsoft announcing that within the next couple of weeks, Skydrive will become available to the Android Device users.  This comes hot on the heals of Google Drive becoming increasingly popular with the Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus users in an attempt to, what I believe, even the playing field.

Coming in the next few months: Skydrive v. Google Drive in a head to head battle, who will win big, and who will go back to the drawing board?
